Sight Support West Cumbria

Sight Support West Cumbria, building front Sight Support West Cumbria, formerly known as West Cumbria Society for the Blind, was established in 1992. We have supported people living with visual impairments across West Cumbria as well as their families and carers for over 30 years, helping our clients to live independently and access the support they need.

We support people who are newly diagnosed with sight loss, people who have lived with a visual impairment for many years, and those with more complex health needs such as additional disabilities or who are housebound.

We help our service users maintain their independence, build their confidence and develop new daily living skills. We also promote social inclusion for our members through the groups and activities that we run.

Our charity offers a range of services such as home visits, provision of low vision aids and assistive technology, information and advice, signposting to other support routes and much more!
